Sooo… now that the race is OVER… and the events have already transpired… I will now attempt to put together the history and post it here… and attempt to make it look like I was “up to date” all the while.

A lot of this is going to me be finally sitting down and learning the blogging process.

Let’s start with the car itself.  Squirrels of Fury first began with a 1982 BMW 528e… it was a car that had (has) over 200k miles on it, and was backed into by a garbage truck.   Perfect LeMons material.

We spent the time gutting the interior… but after several failed attempts to get it running from July to September…. I was getting a little worried.

Enter Hank Moore.  Hank had the OPPOSITE problem that we had.  While we were a team with no car… Hank had a car with no team.  Classic “chocolate-in-my-peanut-butter-in-my-chocolate” scenario.

Magically, the ‘82 BMW became an ‘82 Scirroco… and Penny and I started making trips up to Spokane to get the car prepped.
